On 20 January 2020, a notice was published on the University of Pretoria (UP) website to inform students of the new NSFAS allowances for 2020. Leases have been signed on all campuses and we are now able to identify which students are eligible for meal allowances and which are entitled to travel grants. We are busy making payments for the rest of February and March. This corresponds to R1,605 for meal allowances for all students residing in residences and students residing in private accommodation. Students who are entitled to travel expenses receive R725. Payments will be made as soon as possible. If you depend on your parents/legal guardians/spouses, please indicate that students who have experienced delays in calling the number indicated in previous notifications are requested to contact the De Hillcrest Campus Registration Center for assistance or to send your questions to the email address above.
